Shipping policy

Handmade items ship within 3-5 days from our studio in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

ROUTE SHIPPING INSURANCE

  • Route covers basically ANY and all shipping mishaps. Misdelivery, stolen, lost, or damaged packages 100%. I specifically asked about orders that might be sitting in post offices, not moving and she said that yes even after an extended time of not moving (or being scanned, which she confirmed they're seeing nation wide), they will work with you to cover that order.
  • Should your order not arrive or arrives damaged, you can choose a refund or replacement order by making a claim directly on their app or website. This is all done through Route!
  • I would advise you to download their app, where you can make your claims and see notifications about your deliveries.
  • For orders under $99 and under, it's only $0.98 cents to cover your package with insurance! Orders over $100 will be charged 1.5% of your order total. That's IT!
  • Should you choose to decline coverage, we can not help recover or replace your order if something goes wrong. Spend the extra dollar (or few dollars) and make sure you're covered!

MISSING, LOST OR DAMAGED ITEMS

The customer is responsible for ensuring the correct address and delivery instructions are provided at the point of order. Once a package has left our studio, we cannot make any changes to the address or delivery preferences.

Handstitched Life is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier or our support team directly to file a claim. Please save all packaging material and damaged goods before filing a claim.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMS/IMPORT FEES

For international orders, you agree that you are responsible for any duty, taxes, and customs requirements or other like taxes, fees, levies, costs or expenses associated with importing products you purchase from us and shipping them internationally. 

Unfortunately, Handstitched Life cannot be held responsible for any possible duties and taxes that may be applied by customs in the country where the delivery is made. The responsibility for any customs duties, foreign taxes or other fees, which may be imposed, will rest with the customer.

RETURNS/REFUNDS

  • Customer is responsible for the cost of shipping on any items being returned to our studio. This cost will not be refunded or reimbursed, but your replacement item would ship at no cost to you. 
  • In the event that part of an order is refunded, the shipping fee will not be refunded once items are sent out.
  • In the event that an entire order is refunded, the shipping fee will not be included in the refund once the order is shipped out. Once items are returned to the studio, we would be happy to refund the shipping cost of the original order.

CURATED PRODUCTS

Curated products ship within 5-10 days from our suppliers around the world. 
We carefully source products from our suppliers overseas so that we can pass on savings to you and your family. All orders are shipped by ePacket and typically take anywhere from 1-4 weeks to arrive once shipped. If you purchase multiple products, they may arrive at different times as we source from multiple manufacturers. We do not send tracking information, but you can request is you would like it - just shoot us an email at shophandstitchedlife@gmail.com

FAQs 
Q: How long will it take for my order to arrive? 
A: We carefully source many of our amazing products straight from suppliers overseas so we can keep costs low and not break the bank when you choose to shop with us! We utilize a service called ePacket, which typically takes anywhere from 2-5 days to process and 1-4 weeks to arrive once shipped.
In the US, ePacket shipments typically take: 

5-7 days: 5% of shipments 
10-15 days: 50% of shipments 
16-20 days: 30% of shipments 
21-25 days: 10% of shipments 
26+ days: 5% of shipments
Because we source from multiple suppliers, you may notice that when ordering multiple products, they arrive at different times. They are all on their way to your doorstep, but may be a day or so difference when shipping from our suppliers.
Q: I received my order in a plain, boring envelope - where are the frills? 
A: Packages typically arrive in plain poly mailers, which saves us money so we can pass the savings on to you! You may notice a value on the front label, but that is strictly for clearing customs upon entering the US and is often times the bare minimum price that can be declared on such items. No worries!
