One Chunky Cable Hat

One Chunky Cable Hat

I've been craving Fall since late Spring.

I bought this beautiful pink and purple yarn in a destash from Bryanne of Moon & Yarn. She is a lovely weaver from Pittsburgh, PA and half of the dynamic duo that hosts The Woolies podcast.

It is a skein of chunky merino from The Unusual Pear. I'm not sure if Bry bought this dyed or dyed it herself, but I loved the color and feel of this yarn. To show off the colors, I chose a simple bulky hat with a single cable design. This design is called the One Chunky Cable Hat by Marji LaFreniere. You'll see in the photos below that I have a mistake in the first pattern repeat.

Unfortunately for the perfectionist in me, I didn't bother to rip back and fix this issue. I'm still quite pleased with the outcome and am looking forward to wearing it this fall and winter.
